@flashylabs/agent-wellknown

agent/1 — the Gateway layer’s discovery document at /.well-known/agent: one file through which a website tells an agent who is accountable, which actions it may take, where each lives, what each costs in whole minor units, and how to pay and authenticate. The open half — the spec, schema, checker and vectors.

node vendor-agent.mjs check <file> — dependency-free; the spec, not on npm

Capabilities are verbs — quote, book, refund — never departments like sales or support: a department tells an agent who to talk to, an action tells it what it can do. The id rule is a lowercase pattern plus a denylist of eight department words, refused by name rather than by taste.

Endpoints stay on the organisation’s own domain: every endpoint’s host must be the document’s domain or a subdomain of it, never a parent, a sibling or a stranger, whatever the arrangement between two companies. Prices are whole minor units with a currency; a float, a bare number, a missing currency or a price with no way to pay is refused.

Edge cases — each one paid for once

The same-domain rule is not registrable-domain

There is no Public Suffix List in the checker, so it cannot tell co.uk from example.com and refuses to guess — the rule is host-or-subdomain only. It lives in vendor-domain.mjs, canonical in agent-dns and vendored here byte-identically; it replaced a “last two labels” slice that read acme.co.uk and other.co.uk as one publisher.
